Allah Almighty addresses his beloved Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) in these words: take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. (Al-Hijr15:88)
And rush towards forgiveness from your Lord, and towards a Paradise that can hold all the heavens and the earth in its width - prepared for the pious. Those who spend in Allah’s cause, in happiness and in grief, and who control their anger and are forgiving towards mankind; and the righteous are the beloved of Allah. [Al-e-Imran 3:133-134]
And the bondmen of the Most Gracious who walk upon the earth humbly, (Al-Furqan 25:63)
And (for) those who avoid cardinal sins and indecencies, and forgive (even) when they are angry. [Al-Shura 42:37]
The retribution of a harmful deed is the harm equal to it; so whoever forgives and makes amends, so his reward is upon Allah; indeed, He does not befriend the unjust. And there is no way of reproach against those who take revenge after being wronged. [Al-Shura 42:40-41]
